About the course

This qualification provides the core knowledge, understanding and skills to support learners planning to further their studies in computing. It is equivalent in size and level to the second year of a degree programme in computing.

Year 1 in IT and Computing is designed to support learners in achieving careers in areas such as Software Engineering, Programming, E-commerce and Network Management and more, as well as providing knowledge and
understanding of the various issues and contexts that affect a computing professional in today’s business environment. Year 2 in Computing includes core areas such as programming, but also subjects such as Strategic Management Information Systems, Computing Research Methods and Managing a Computing Project.

Requirements:

  1. Completed Application form
  2. Higher/Secondary Certificate or equivalents (e.g., O/A’Level, WAEC/NECO)
  3. Must be at least 18 years of age and or below 27 years of age
  4. Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5) or English Grade C+ (Secondary Transcript). Students without these documents will take the English proficiency exam on campus following their arrival.
  5. Scanned copy of international passport
  6. Two passport size photos
